It's me again..

Hey all!
It's me again. I've not been very motivated this week, felt very down in the dumps. However I was able to make a few things. I've been reading Docrafts Creativity for a while now as you know and yesterday I decided to have a go at a card layout which inspired me. I dug into my dads paper box and nicked a few bits of trasing paper to emboss. The effect was amazing and inked it looks great! Bare in mind when you dry emboss tracing paper, it cracks. Doesn't make the design any less awesome though. Here's my tracing paper card:
Doesn't the flower and embossed oval look amazing! Not to toot my own horn or anything!
EDIT: This card is now on etsy! Take a Peak: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/179572332/dry-embossed-vintage-themed-blank-card?ref=shop_home_active_2

I've also made these this week:

Thank you for all being on my journey of creativity! See you all soon.

New cards... Valentines!

Hey all!
I've made a really gorgeous card that I really need to show you all. Of course I'm on the valentines band wagon now, but I really wanted to give this one a post of my own. So here it is!
"I love moo" really would like a home this valentines day. Do you love someone who would love to giggle to this card? I made this using a new embossing board (it came today and I had to try it out) and some new cardstock. Cows came to my mind straight away.
EDIT: This card is now on Etsy! Take a Peak: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/179571682/dry-embossed-cow-themed-valentinesi-love?ref=listing-shop-header-2

I've also made another cute card which I want to give a little mention...

I hope you've enjoyed my post today! See you soon.

Taggies..

Hey all!
Today I tried something a little different for me, I tried making tags. Well art tags anyways. I've been looking at a few on Pinterest and was inspired. Here are a few I made.
This is a beautiful design, I'm very proud of this. Of corse my bigshot took most of the action here, but I love the colours my ink made too. I hope my sister will like this one!
I'm in love with Graphic 45 papers! I got this little kit with a magazine recently and I've decided to buy a few more soon! The vintage theme is defiantly me ATM.
Again my bigshot and embossing folders took place here. I then rubbed ink over the embossed areas. I think it shows the design well.
Another cutely vintage tag here. I have no idea what I will use this for but it needs a beautiful present I think!
Another bigshot taggie, I'm really liking making bold tags. They seem to jump at me.

I'm glad you want to read today,

It's been a while....

Hey all!
Don't worry I haven't forgotten about you! I've been a bit unwell and not sleeping so I've took some time to get better and relax. But now I'm back and ready to make!
Just a quick post from me today showing you the little amount of items made this week.
These little beauties are ready to send to my two penpals (one English, one German) and after seeing their reaction to them, I think I will make more. These are simply made using my off cuts of card stock and embelishments. Created using an envelope stamp.
This is my random makes using polymer clay. I got a few items for Christmas and decided to try a few Pinterest tutorials out. I must admit I didn't think any of these would work so I'm so happy they did. I just need to sand down and glaze over. Watch out for finished makes soon.

Thank for reading today!

The Shabby Tea Room Entry #201

Hey everyone!
It's that time again, I love doing these Shabby Tea Room entries! This weeks competition was a little different for me, we had a sketch to use and not a picture! But me being me, I had to turn my card pretty pink!
Here's the sketch we were given:

I finished my book! I love how it turned out and it's got pride of place on my window sill (needs to be on a shelf really but all my shelves are full!). Here are the pages, all created from the Docrafts Creativity magazine and tutorial.
I hope you all loved this book as much as I do! You may see more 3D projects!

Project notebook: 3D work

Hey all!
Gosh it's been a busy couple of days for me! I've had days doing nothing and days doing everything under the sun! However today I'm here to tell you about a little 3D project I started! I've never done 3D work before so at the moment I'm rather proud!
In the latest Docrafts Creativity magazine there is a project featuring the new Madame Payraud collection. Now I loved this collection and got a few pieces in my latest Docrafts goody bag. So I took to my stash and created the book. So far I have the cover and spine.
I hope you enjoyed my first 3D project post. More will follow with pictures of the inside.

Pictures do the talking

Hey everyone!
I've had such a busy day crafting! I've made a quilt and 3 cards! I've also started a new card and come down stairs while it's drying with purple hands! The ink will not come off. Any tips and tricks?
Here's the pictures from today everyone! Thanks for reading.
This last card was a challenge! The layout was featured in a magazine but I wanted to add my own twist and used a circle design instead of oval. To add the aged look to the doily, I used purple spectrum noir pens on the outside.

I hope you liked my items today!

The Shabby Tea Room entry #200

Hey everyone!
It's that time of the week again, the time where I show you my shabby tea room entry. This week I found it really hard even though it was all my style! We were given this photo.
We were told to add roses too and unfortunately for me, I had no red roses left! So I decided to make my roses a little less ominant and used them as my background. Here is my entry this week.

I'm so proud of myself for making this poise today! I used a tiny flower die and cut it 5 times. I sanded each flower, then held them all with pink brad.

Wish me luck everyone!

Running a lil late!

Hey all!
Sorry I didn't post yesterday! I have so much to show you all. I've been crafting my backside off.
I started my day with a little jewellery. I haven't really done any since leaving London Jewellery School, so I thought it was time to try something new again. I decided to try knotting. I got a bohemian jewellery book for Christmas so picked a tutorial from there. This is what I made, it took me all morning to understand those fiddly knots!
Used moonstone (labeled opalite, but shines more like moonstone), hematite (good for aches and pains) and Onyx (because it always looks good!).

Of corse I then made cards! As I'm clearing out my magazines, the layouts were from there, however I decided to use these as a chance to use my bigshot!
It's going to take a while to get used adding these beautiful elements, but I have to say I think they make my cards so much better!

Just one little thing before I go! Check this out!
Today I recieved my Papercraft Inspirations magazine from my local. This is a special issue for me as I'm in it! I emailed them with my gesso card a while ago and I've recieved their favourite card in the mail page! I'm very very pleased!

Thank you for reading today.

Buying a Bigshot- review

Hey all!
Today was the day, the day I've been waiting for. Today I bought my Sizzix BigShot die cutting machine. I've been waiting to buy this for a while and received the money for Christmas so today we went to hobbycraft! Here is a bigshot machine if you haven't seen one.
I bought the £99.99 one (which is the starter kit), however you can just buy the machine for £74.99. The starter kit includes the dies, machine, plates, an embossing folder and card stock.
Of corse as you all know me, I got back from my journey and started playing straight away. I tested all my dies first and I have to tell you Sizzix dies are very sharp and cut cleanly. They also produce a very wide range of shapes.
I also bought some dies from other makers which also work very well. I decided to buy more intricate shapes which I discovered in store (via a demonstration) that I would also need a "pokey tool". Now you may think I'm joking, however there is such a tool! It's in the Tattered Lace range for Hobbycraft and literally pokes the die cut piece out of die.
Now who would like to see my cards? Firstly I'll show you one I have been working on using handmade paper, ink and an embelishment (not via my bigshot).
This card could be used for any occasion for anyone! I love cards which have multiuses!
Now this is my first card via my bigshot machine! The embossed background has been inked over to make it stand out more and the butterflies have had the wings turned up. I also decided to add heat embossing to this card via the sentiment so technically this card was fully made with Christmas presents!

I hope you like my mini review!

Just another day at the office

Hey all!
Well now that my clear out of my magazines has started, I've decided to devote this post to the amount I've made recently (bare in mind this was in one day!).
This little cutie was such a doddle to make! Created in about 30mins Percy the penguin (cute but tired however) is now sat on my desk waiting for my best friend to take him home. I love creating with felt and I think the quick but professional outcome is awesome.
Now you all know how much I love my jewellery! When I found a tutorial to make a version of this necklace, I knew I had to make it my own. Created with beads and ribbon from my crafty creative boxes, add a few extras and this beauty was born! A great present for my boyfriends sister.
Of corse I had to include a few cards! This lovely card (of the slim variety which I used to use a lot) was created using my new heat gun. I love using gold embossing powder! It brings out the key designs so well. Unfortuantly this card has sold already, however the design could be replicated.
This card was only made tonight so I'm kind of cheating with this one! But here is one of my few valentines cards. This design was drawn up whilst at my boyfriends house the other day and I've been itching to make it ever since. The colours work so well together and these heart doilys just jump out to be used for valentines!

Thank you so much for reading.

Entry #199- The Shabby Tea Room

Hey all!
Now all the festivities are over, it's time to get back into the swing of things with my shabby tea room entries!
This week we were given this photo about the new year. We had to use black, white, cream and kraft.
I had a few ideas but as soon as I saw the photo (above) I chose to use the roses and music note paper as my inspiration.
Here is what I came up with:
The roses and heart look yellow hear due to lighting but I assure you they are cream :)
Here is the link to The Shabby Tea room:

Wish me luck everyone!
